📋 Description

• Build and manage a portfolio of commercial real estate development and construction lending relationships • Originate and structure commercial real estate and syndicated lending opportunities • Prepare credit recommendations through comprehensive financial, risk, and security analysis • Manage the full lifecycle of a lending portfolio, including annual reviews, renewals, amendments, and ongoing relationship management • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively address risk issues • Build relationships with developers, investors, centers of influence, and referral partners • Collaborate across business lines to deliver integrated member solutions and identify cross-selling opportunities • Support and mentor colleagues through knowledge sharing and best practice development.

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of a college diploma or university degree in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience • Minimum 5 years of progressive commercial lending experience focusing on real estate development and construction financing • Strong experience in credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and structuring complex lending transactions • Deep understanding of commercial real estate development lending, project risk assessment, and security evaluation • Demonstrated business development experience with the ability to build strong relationships with members, referral partners, and centers of influence • Strong knowledge of integrated financial solutions and ability to identify opportunities across business lines • Proven expertise in commercial real estate financing and portfolio management • Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills • Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues and serving as a trusted resource in commercial lending • Experience with loan syndications and syndicated lending structures • Experience with CMHC loan origination and loan servicing (considered an asset) • The ability to balance growth objectives with sound risk management practices.
