📋 Description

• Design and build product features for remote development in self-hosted environments • Create and improve open-source projects integrating with VS Code, JetBrains, and other developer tools • Champion best practices for internal team members and external contributors • Collaborate with Product, Design, and partners such as JetBrains on product integrations • Document system design, implementation, and operations • Support Coder’s enterprise user base alongside Customer Success • Use AI technologies to create seamless developer experiences • Rapidly iterate from prototypes to implementations • Ship features and harden security boundaries across AI Gateway and Agent Firewall • Collaborate with enterprise customers on real-world AI governance policy needs • Contribute to Coder’s open-source ecosystem

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of full-stack professional software development experience • 1+ year writing Go, ideally in the current or most recent position • Proficiency building distributed systems in Go • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting skills • Tenacity to drive solutions to completion • Self-motivated with a creative and analytical mindset • Experience with TypeScript and React is a bonus • Background in developer tooling, platform engineering, or infrastructure as code is a bonus • Familiarity with current developer-tool trends is a bonus • Technical environment includes TypeScript, React, Vite, Go, Postgres, GCP, Kubernetes, gRPC, Prometheus, Grafana, GitHub Actions, GitHub, Slack, Discord, and Notion
