📋 Description

• Own the production architecture from compiled clinical artifact to point-of-care use • Define compiler-runtime interfaces while preserving provenance, versioning, deterministic behavior, auditability, and safe rollback • Ship across the stack and review critical designs and code • Diagnose difficult production and integration failures • Turn clinical deployments into reusable platform capabilities while preserving meaningful jurisdictional and workflow differences • Establish standards for testing, observability, security, releases, and incident response • Hire and develop a small, exceptional engineering team • Report directly to the CEO and collaborate with technical staff, clinicians, and health-system partners

🎯 Requirements

• Record of building and operating a consequential production system end to end • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience • Substantial experience hiring and leading engineers while remaining an active technical contributor • Breadth across backend, data, infrastructure, and product engineering, with unusual depth in at least one • Strong judgment around state, versioning, provenance, observability, security, and failure recovery • Product judgment to make complex behavior legible without concealing details relevant to clinical decisions • Clear, precise communication across engineering, research, clinical, and external teams • Must be eligible to work in the United States or Canada • Experience with FHIR, HL7, EHRs, or other complex interoperability environments (bonus) • Experience in healthcare, regulated software, or another safety-critical domain (bonus) • Experience with compilers, rules engines, developer platforms, or rigorously evaluated ML systems (bonus)
