📋 Description

• Define the AI technical strategy for customer experience • Own the roadmap for AI-powered voice, email, chat, and SMS agents • Write code, review pull requests, prototype agent capabilities, and debug production issues • Partner with Product, CX, and Operations to identify and ship AI-enabled workflow improvements • Establish agent performance metrics and use data to prioritize the roadmap • Design reliable agent architectures with orchestration, tool use, guardrails, and fallback handling • Lead and grow a small, senior engineering team • Drive observability and reliability across the AI agent stack using tools such as Langfuse

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems • At least 2 years leading or managing engineering teams • Experience developing and shipping LLM-powered, conversational AI, or agentic systems in real-world environments • Experience delivering customer-facing products end-to-end, including design, deployment, monitoring, and iteration • Ability to partner with Product, Operations, and CX stakeholders • Deep systems design expertise focused on reliable, observable, real-time services • Technical leadership experience guiding architecture decisions and evaluating trade-offs • Experience defining technical strategy and roadmaps for AI-driven customer experiences • Ability to hire, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams • Hands-on experience with LLM and agent development, including prompt engineering, RAG, tool usage, and orchestration frameworks • Comfort making build-vs-buy decisions and evaluating vendors and platforms • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience • Must reside in one of Point’s states of operation
