📋 Description

• Monitor and support the availability, performance, health, and recoverability of enterprise databases and applications. • Diagnose database availability issues, failed services, connection failures, authentication problems, resource constraints, and performance degradation. • Analyze application dependencies across databases, servers, middleware, APIs, certificates, networks, cloud, storage, and external interfaces. • Diagnose and resolve certificate failures and support certificate installation and renewal. • Diagnose REST, SOAP, API gateway, endpoint, authentication, authorization, payload, and timeout issues. • Support relational database platforms, application and web servers, middleware, schedulers, integration services, and runtime components. • Participate in Outage Response Team activities, including triage, diagnostics, mitigation, workarounds, recovery, and incident timeline maintenance. • Coordinate with operations and software teams on infrastructure issues and code-related defects; validate corrections. • Support root-cause analysis and track post-incident corrective and preventive actions. • Execute implementation plans, upgrade procedures, rollback steps, and validation for database, application, middleware, and server upgrades. • Support backup, restoration, replication, failover, high-availability, and disaster-recovery activities. • Apply or coordinate approved updates, remediate vulnerabilities, IAVAs, CND Directives, and POA&M items, and maintain technical documentation.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant database support, application support, systems engineering, production operations, or enterprise IT experience. • Demonstrated experience diagnosing database availability, application dependencies, connection failures, services, certificates, and API-related outages. • Active Secret clearance or higher is required. • Experience supporting enterprise databases and applications in a federal or DoD environment preferred. • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS relational database services, Azure SQL, or comparable platforms, including clustering, replication, and failover preferred. • Experience with IIS, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss, .NET, Java, or comparable application-server technologies preferred. • Experience with TLS certificates, trust stores, keystores, PKI dependencies, APM, logging, and observability tools preferred. • Experience supporting production outages, incident bridges, and root-cause analysis using ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform preferred. • Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, SQL, Bash, DISA STIGs, and DoD RMF, ATO, IAVA, and POA&M requirements preferred.
