📋 Description

• Follow up on required daily accounts based on leadership assignments to reduce accounts receivable • Validate denied claims and determine appropriate denial resolution, including authorization, retro-authorization, and precertification • Use WAYSTAR to submit appeal letters and payer-required documentation on unpaid and underpaid claims • Prioritize work to increase collections-process efficiency • Document account-resolution actions in Avatar and WAYSTAR using standardized notes • Meet department productivity requirements • Communicate identified opportunities to leadership using SBAR format • Follow the CHS leadership chain of command and participate in departmental accounts-receivable reduction initiatives • Troubleshoot technological issues and communicate them to leadership • Assist billing with determining disposition of or composing replies to incoming mail and correspondence • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or international equivalent • 2 years of insurance claims follow-up • 2 years of claim denial management • 5 years of experience within a physician and/or facility business office • 1 year of experience working in a remote environment • Must be fully vaccinated, including documentation, or exempt through the company exemption process before the start date • Must have flu shot or an exemption requiring masking during company-established flu season • Bachelor’s degree in health care or related field (great if you had) • 5 years of physician and/or facility billing/auditing experience within a behavioral health environment (great if you had)
