📋 Description

• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to define business requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria • Translate product initiatives into epics, user stories, and technical requirements • Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog • Lead backlog refinement sessions and support sprint planning activities • Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle • Develop understanding of application architecture, data sources, APIs, and integrations • Write SQL queries to validate data, investigate issues, and support acceptance testing • Perform user acceptance testing of features, integrations, and APIs • Monitor data quality and validate consistency between backend systems and user-facing applications • Partner with UX/UI and Design teams to improve user experience and product workflows • Create acceptance criteria for functional, API, and data-related development work • Support release readiness, documentation, release notes, and user guides • Leverage approved AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, Jira Rovo, or similar technologies to improve productivity, documentation, requirements gathering, and testing efficiency • Mentor colleagues and contribute to continuous learning and collaboration

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or related field preferred • 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within a software development environment • Strong experience managing Agile backlogs, sprint planning, and refinement sessions • Demonstrated experience writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements • Strong API experience, including documenting requirements and validating integrations • Advanced SQL experience, including data validation, troubleshooting, and exploratory analysis • Experience working with data-focused products, analytics platforms, reporting tools, or business intelligence applications • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business requirements for engineering teams • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools • Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or other regulated industries preferred • Experience with embedded analytics or business intelligence tools such as Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred • Experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data platforms preferred • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL preferred • Familiarity with Figma and UX/UI collaboration processes preferred • Product Owner, Agile, Scrum, or Business Analysis certifications preferred • Ability to bridge business goals and technical execution • Ability to discuss APIs, integrations, data flows, and application architecture with engineering teams • Ability to independently validate requirements through SQL queries and testing • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
