📋 Description

• Deliver data environments quickly using modern technologies and best practices • Shape and build greenfield data areas for clients • Establish technology best practices for analytical insights • Deliver end-to-end data solutions and unlock actionable insights • Acquire and transform datasets • Ensure data models are reusable, data pipelines are scalable, and data visualizations are impactful • Choose, develop, and optimize data technology environments • Ensure development follows standards, specifications, controls, audits, and procedures for data integrity, quality, accuracy, usefulness, and timeliness • Act as a data engineering subject matter expert and provide hands-on technical support • Lead architectural discussions and advise on design decisions and trade-offs • Set standards for AI-augmented development practices and coach the team • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of client-facing and internal data projects • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, Business Stakeholders, and the Team Lead • Define technology strategy and roadmap for the Data Team • Serve as data architect for client engagements and design scalable data architectures • Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning • Improve processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and innovation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 8–10 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role • Strong background designing and implementing data solutions • Active, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar is a strong asset • Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration • Experience with data warehousing solutions • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with SQL, Python, and Spark • Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric is a plus • Strong leadership and team management skills • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities • Effective technical and non-technical communication skills • Ability to balance technical requirements with business goals and client needs • Must be located in Canada • Must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
