📋 Description

• Architect, design, and develop high-performance microservices using Java, JEE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud • Lead development of event-driven services using Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, streaming patterns, and schema evolution • Own RESTful API strategy, JSON modeling, backward-compatible versioning, and API governance • Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards, design reviews, and coding best practices • Design and implement ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data • Lead data migration efforts for legacy-to-cloud and system-to-system transitions, including incremental loads, bulk loads, validation, and reconciliation • Establish data quality, profiling, and governance practices • Work with clinical data formats, mapping, transformations, and normalization using FHIR, HL7 v2, and CCD/C-CDA • Build and maintain CI/CD automation with testing, security analysis, artifact provenance, and policy gates • Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform using GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, IAM, and Secret Manager • Drive SecDevOps practices including threat modeling, secure coding, dependency scanning, secrets management, and container hardening • Implement observability frameworks with OpenTelemetry, tracing, dashboards, alerts, and SLOs • Integrate microservices with EHR systems using HL7 v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and standard healthcare APIs • Support patient data exchange, interoperability, and HIPAA-aligned data flows • Collaborate with compliance and security teams to implement regulatory safeguards

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • 5+ years developing applications with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful microservices • 3+ years of Apache Kafka experience, including event streaming, partitions, consumer groups, and schema registry • 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing • 3+ years of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud orchestration experience • 2+ years of hands-on cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Alternatively, high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience • Experience with FHIR, HL7 v2, and EHR integrations preferred • Experience with GCP preferred • Experience in large-scale system modernization or data platform migration preferred • Knowledge of data migration, ETL concepts, and data lifecycle management preferred • Knowledge of security best practices, including OAuth 2.0/OIDC, TLS, secrets management, and scanning preferred • Ability to lead complex technical initiatives and mentor junior developers preferred • Experience with Spring Batch, Dataflow, or cloud-native ETL tools preferred • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL, schema design, indexing, performance tuning, and migrations preferred • Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, or regulated healthcare data environments preferred
