📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain a robust browser extension for Chrome, Edge, and other major browsers using Manifest V3 and modern APIs • Implement features that securely interact with web content and backend services • Ensure compliance with security best practices • Optimize performance and reliability across diverse environments and user workflows • Collaborate with endpoint agent and backend teams for tight integration and consistent functionality • Monitor evolving browser APIs, security standards, and extension ecosystem changes • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development processes • Help build and enhance Cyberhaven’s browser extension as part of its data security platform

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience, including coding, testing, debugging, and automating complex TypeScript/JavaScript applications • Comfortable inspecting third-party web applications, network traffic, DOM structure, and client-side code • Ability to learn new technologies quickly, especially evolving browser extension platforms and manifest specifications • Focus on correctness, performance, and reliability of background processes • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work self-sufficiently with minimal direction • Ability to coordinate effectively with developers working on non-browser platforms • Hands-on browser extension experience is a bonus; Chrome/Chromium Manifest V3 strongly preferred, with Firefox/Edge experience a plus • Understanding of browser extension security models, including permissions, content security policy, isolated worlds, and secure communication between contexts • Cybersecurity product or feature experience, such as DLP, DSPM, or similar security/compliance tooling, is a bonus
