• Perform facility condition assessments and MEP condition assessments • Conduct construction project inspections and commissioning site inspections • Collect site data for energy audits • Perform retro-commissioning field investigations • Perform field inspections of government, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and institutional properties • Collect information to assist with reviewing and tracking project progress and status on active construction projects • Perform construction oversight and construction review verification as needed • Review submittals and RFIs • Verify plans onsite against construction conditions • Attend contractor-owner meetings • Review and respond to pay applications • Assist with commissioning field activities, construction verification, and field functional testing • Take measurements, perform tests comparing in-place work to contract requirements, and observe work activities throughout construction
• Understanding of and experience with a variety of building systems, including MEP and Building Controls • Excellent knowledge of test and balance • Experience performing equipment inspections and site data collection • Experience in construction management or project oversight • Ability to review construction site conditions against contract documents • Familiarity with building standards and codes • Excellent report writing, computer, and internet skills • Excellent communication skills • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Ability to complete assignments on time and within budget • Ability to travel on short notice (1 week or less) • Associate degree in Engineering or related fields • EIT preferred • Ability to see, hear, walk, drive, climb, reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to work in construction site conditions including noise, dust, heights, odors, enclosed spaces, unstable footing, stairs, rough terrain, adverse weather, ladders, and roofs • Physical ability to take measurements, perform tests, and observe work activities throughout construction • Job offer contingent on work status eligibility and passing a federal government background check
