• Provide frontline support for DNC Tech data and technology products • Answer and troubleshoot technical questions from campaigns, state parties, and sister committees through a Zendesk customer support queue • Participate in a Community on-call rotation outside business hours as needed, more regularly in even years • Partner with the product team on training, communications, and rollout of new features and datasets • Facilitate virtual and occasional in-person training on complex technical concepts and tools • Maintain current documentation for DNC technology and data products and processes • Build collaborative relationships with state party data staff through regular one-on-ones • Troubleshoot voter file issues and respond to and advocate for state party needs • Gather user feedback, identify common problems, and support automation or product iteration • Share user experience insights with Product, Data, and Engineering teams • Perform other duties supporting the department and the DNC’s mission
• Experience working on a political campaign, at a state party, or at a political technology organization • Experience in an externally-facing user-, customer-, or volunteer-facing role • Experience using VoteBuilder; experience with other organizing tools is a bonus • Proven ability to thrive in a fully remote environment with strong asynchronous work habits • Basic understanding of SQL or another language efficient for analyzing large datasets • Passion for training, documentation, and one-to-one user support • Ability to tailor communication to audiences with varying technical expertise • Tenacity and an investigative mindset for troubleshooting complex data and technical issues • Ability to use documentation, logs, and previous tickets to investigate issues before escalation • Highly organized, self-driven, and detail-oriented • Ability to manage tasks independently, juggle competing priorities, and follow and contribute to team processes • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in asking questions • Ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders and users • Willingness to adapt quickly to changing priorities, urgent deadlines, and high-stakes conditions • Desire to improve politics, support the Democratic Party, and secure the future of the country • Ability to occasionally work weekends • Must be able to work in the United States
