📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop Design Leads and technical staff • Manage day-to-day personnel administration for direct reports, including timekeeping, expense approvals, performance evaluations, and employee development • Coordinate and assign design resources based on project needs, technical capabilities, and development objectives • Monitor utilization and address workload imbalances • Forecast staffing needs and identify resource constraints with Project Managers • Develop, maintain, and improve design standards, procedures, best practices, tools, templates, and processes • Serve as technical authority for design execution and delivery practices • Own and maintain the design quality control program • Establish and enforce QC review procedures and documentation requirements • Conduct audits of project deliverables and ensure milestone design reviews • Track quality metrics, lessons learned, and corrective actions • Partner with Project Managers on project execution and provide technical oversight • Resolve technical challenges and design conflicts • Support proposals, staffing plans, and project execution strategies • Support professional growth toward project management, operations, and practice leadership roles

🎯 Requirements

• Lead and manage Design Leads and technical staff • Establish performance expectations and accountability measures for design teams • Coordinate and balance workload across design teams • Apply organizational CAD, BIM, engineering, and design standards • Maintain design quality control programs and review procedures • Provide technical oversight on complex or high-risk projects • Ensure deliverables align with client requirements, contracts, and regulatory standards • Successful technical leadership balancing people leadership, resource management, quality control, and design excellence • Pre-employment screening required, including SSN/SIN validation, motor vehicle verification, education verification, employment verification, criminal check, sanctions/watch-list search, and drug tests
