• Provide methodological leadership across the full span of HEOR evidence generation • Serve as the internal scientific authority for rigorous evidence generation supporting regulatory engagement, HTA review, and payer value communication • Partner with biostatistics, epidemiology, global market access, and external academic and consulting collaborators • Drive integration of HEOR from early clinical development through commercialization • Develop and oversee health outcomes research strategy for Lilly portfolio compounds • Serve as senior HEOR strategic partner on lead/core teams • Formulate and drive patient-focused outcome, real-world evidence, and economic value strategies • Establish HEOR standards across the cardiometabolic health portfolio • Develop high-impact science across the product lifecycle • Apply statistical analysis, economic modeling, clinical trials, patient-focused outcomes, observational/epidemiologic research, and health technology/value assessment expertise • Solve health outcomes issues related to registration, pricing, reimbursement, and access • Guide and mentor junior scientists and colleagues • Lead health outcomes evidence planning and implementation with cross-functional teams • Advise business partners on HEOR prioritization, trade-offs, and recommendations • Lead, manage, coach, and develop a team of HEOR scientists • Allocate talent and resources across the portfolio • Build an inclusive, high-accountability team culture • Communicate health outcomes information to internal partners, the scientific community, and customers • Lead dissemination through abstracts, posters, podium presentations, promotional materials, and manuscripts • Plan and drive application of research results and deliverables • Monitor disease-state, health outcomes, methodological, and market developments • Anticipate future market needs and trends and plan HEOR capacity and strategy • Ensure projects meet timelines, budget, and scope with cross-functional partners and external collaborators
• Doctorate (PhD, MD) with 7+ years of experience OR PharmD/MS degree with 7+ years of experience in creating, executing, and delivering HO strategies/projects • Deep expertise in causal inference methods for observational data, including target trial emulation, active-comparator new-user design, and marginal structural models • Expertise in quantitative synthesis methods, including network meta-analysis and indirect treatment comparison • Expertise in health technology assessment methodology and cost-effectiveness/economic modeling • Experience constructing and critiquing Markov, discrete event simulation, and budget impact models • Strong publication record spanning comparative effectiveness, meta-analytic, or health economic methods • Direct experience building or critiquing cost-effectiveness models and HTA dossiers, including NICE, ICER, or comparable bodies • Strong comprehension, communication, written, and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate within and across teams • Demonstrated experience setting and leading HEOR strategy across a portfolio or therapeutic area • Demonstrated people-leadership experience formally managing, developing, and leading scientists • Proven ability to influence senior internal and external decision-makers • Demonstrated ability to drive research agendas to completion and dissemination • Ability to think and act globally with a customer focus and solution orientation
