📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable analytics data models and transformation pipelines • Transform raw data into trusted, structured, analytics-ready datasets • Develop reusable data models and curated datasets for reporting, dashboards, analytics, and operational decision-making • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale datasets • Develop automated data transformation and validation processes • Establish data quality checks, testing practices, and monitoring processes • Partner with data engineers to optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage • Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable technical solutions • Support business intelligence dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions • Maintain documentation for data models, transformations, lineage, and business logic • Identify and resolve data quality, consistency, and performance issues • Contribute to enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data standardization • Participate in Agile development activities, technical reviews, and release planning • Support cloud-based data modernization and analytics initiatives • Ensure compliance with applicable federal security, privacy, governance, and data management requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline • 5+ years of experience working in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence engineering, or a related data-focused role • Advanced proficiency with SQL and relational data concepts • Experience developing data models and data transformation pipelines • Experience working with modern data warehouses, cloud data platforms, or data lake environments • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration • Experience implementing data quality validation and testing • Experience with Python or another data-oriented programming language • Experience with version control and modern software development practices • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders • Ability to meet applicable federal background investigation requirements • Preferred: experience supporting federal healthcare, health IT, or large federal data programs • Preferred: experience with healthcare or clinical data environments • Preferred: experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) • Preferred: experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud data platforms • Preferred: experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker • Preferred: experience with data cataloging, lineage, metadata management, and governance • Preferred: familiarity with HL7 or FHIR • Preferred: experience working within Agile and DevSecOps environments
