📋 Description

• Administer and maintain the Snowflake platform, including databases, schemas, warehouses, roles, users, resource monitors, and data-sharing capabilities • Design and implement scalable Snowflake architectures for enterprise analytics, data engineering, and AI/ML workloads • Develop and maintain RBAC, row-level security, masking policies, network policies, and data governance standards • Optimize warehouse sizing, query performance, clustering, storage utilization, and platform costs • Implement secure data sharing, external stages, storage integrations, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and other Snowflake capabilities • Develop backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies using Time Travel, Fail-safe, replication, and cross-region replication • Automate Snowflake deployments with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines • Maintain version-controlled SQL objects and security objects • Monitor platform health, resource consumption, query performance, and security events • Collaborate with Data Engineering on dbt, Airflow, ELT pipelines, and data integration initiatives • Develop Python and SQL automation for administration, provisioning, monitoring, and operations • Partner with Security, Architecture, and Governance teams on standards, compliance, and best practices • Mentor database administrators and data engineers • Stay current with Snowflake and cloud technologies and recommend improvements • Document platform architecture, procedures, standards, and runbooks

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of database administration experience, including 3+ years administering enterprise Snowflake environments • Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses, storage, compute optimization, and platform administration • Hands-on experience implementing Snowflake security, including RBAC, masking policies, row access policies, network policies, and secure data sharing • Experience designing and optimizing Snowflake performance, workload management, and cost optimization strategies • Experience with Snowflake native capabilities, including Tasks, Streams, Dynamic Tables, Snowpipe, External Tables, Secure Views, and Stored Procedures • Experience managing Snowflake across AWS cloud environments • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and modern cloud data platforms • Experience using Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake object deployments • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar automation tools • Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or Shell scripting for platform automation • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional technical teams • SnowPro Core Certification or SnowPro Advanced Certifications (set apart) • Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar DevOps platforms (set apart) • Experience implementing enterprise data governance and security frameworks (set apart) • Experience supporting enterprise analytics, AI/ML, and modern data platform initiatives (set apart) • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable, including CPT/OPT • Reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection and an adequate home workspace required for remote work
