📋 Description

• Lead a portfolio of electric distribution design projects and programs, including overhead and underground work, system upgrades, and modernization efforts • Own scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across multiple concurrent projects • Serve as a primary point of contact for utility clients • Coordinate work across designers, engineers, and technical leads • Oversee project financials, including forecasting, fee tracking, and change management • Ensure compliance with industry and client standards, permitting requirements, and regulatory expectations • Support permitting and third-party coordination with municipalities, DOTs, and joint-use utilities • Provide construction support and resolve design-related issues during build • For Senior Project Managers, mentor other PMs and technical leads, help shape program strategy, and support client account growth • Support high-volume distribution design, Voltage Optimization, Distribution Automation, and municipality- and DOT-driven relocation programs

🎯 Requirements

• Project management experience supporting electric distribution or utility infrastructure programs, or other engineering/construction related spaces • Experience managing scope, schedule, and budget in a consulting or utility-facing environment • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with utility clients • Strong leadership and team management skills • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and keep work moving in a deadline-driven environment • Proficiency in forecasting and financial management, especially in a Fixed Fee and Unitized platform • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and technical innovations • Prior experience working with large electric utilities (nice to have) • Familiarity with distribution design workflows, permitting, and construction support (nice to have) • Experience managing program-based or unitized work (nice to have) • PMP or similar certification (nice to have)
