• Analyze, design, install, maintain, and support hospital computer information systems • Support Healthy Planet in the Epic system • Assist departments with evaluation, documentation, technical planning, implementation, policies, and procedures • Evaluate new and existing software products and formulate solutions to identified problems or objectives • Serve as the IT contact and resource for assigned user departments • Determine operational departments’ information needs and present potential solutions • Implement low-complexity system changes according to change-management policies and procedures • Provide ongoing support, problem diagnosis, and resolution for assigned clinical information systems • Coordinate problem resolution with users, IT personnel, and vendors • Test system changes before production and monitor results • Support user training, documentation, and policy and procedure development • Develop training materials and conduct training classes and one-on-one training • Maintain end-user system security and ensure appropriate system access • Process access and termination requests within required timelines • Conduct regular end-user access audits and report security breaches • Analyze business requirements and design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support software solutions • Provide strategic Information Technology recommendations based on consultation, problem analysis, and research • Review system effectiveness and develop improvement strategies • Provide software application administration, support, and troubleshooting • Coordinate hospital software and hardware, operating-system support, analytic data retrieval, documentation, and training • Manage projects and provide project-management training • Participate in continued education and perform other assigned duties
• Associate degree in computer science, information technology, nursing, or related field required • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Relevant technical experience may substitute for required education at a 2:1 ratio • Two years’ experience in Information Technology, clinical operations, or related field • Alternatively, 2–5 years of experience required • Degree in Information Systems or related field preferred • No license or certification required • General software knowledge and ability to oversee projects supporting hospital information systems and personal computer systems • Major systems development and implementation experience • Understanding of project management and control • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • Ability to multitask and work independently and within a team • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications • Ability to crawl under or around furniture and equipment to access wiring and outlets • Ability to perform required light lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, bending, reaching, and repetitive computer motions
