📋 Description

• Use AutoCAD or similar CAD tools to develop moderately complex substation design drawings with minimal oversight • Apply EVS drafting standards and processes to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently • Check work for accuracy and adherence to quality procedures • Collaborate with drafters, engineers, and other team members to support project development • Participate in improvement initiatives to increase design quality and efficiency • Assist in resolving design challenges through research and basic problem-solving • Support document tracking and project documentation • Prepare construction drawings, documents, calculations, and studies for medium- and high-voltage substation projects • Develop General Arrangement drawings, Site Plans, and Elevation Views • Develop Grounding Plans and Details • Develop Conduit Plans, Trench Plans, and associated Details • Develop Lightning Protection Design and Layout • Develop Illumination Design, Plans, and Details • Prepare Bills of Materials • Maintain attention to detail while managing time and meeting deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree in computer-Aided Design or a related field, or equivalent experience • Foundational experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software • Basic understanding of design principles and electrical substation components preferred • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new concepts quickly • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid or remote team environment • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
