📋 Description

• Lead underwriting efforts for complex loan requests and recommend risk-mitigating structures • Continuously monitor the assigned portfolio to identify credit risks, trends, and financial performance concerns • Partner with sales in negotiations and client discussions, aligning client needs with risk appetite • Collaborate with legal teams to review and negotiate credit agreements • Provide guidance and training to junior credit professionals • Identify and raise improvement areas in credit processes and procedures to leadership • Use independent judgment and discretion to make decisions regarding the assigned portfolio • Analyze and resolve problems pertaining to the assigned portfolio • Perform special projects and additional duties as required • Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree (4 years or equivalent) preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or 10+ years of equivalent experience • 5+ years in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management • 5+ years of experience in the direct specialized line of business • Advanced financial modeling and risk assessment expertise • Strong negotiation skills and ability to collaborate with clients • Experience structuring complex loan transactions • Ability to analyze macroeconomic trends and their impact on credit risk • Strong command of financial modeling, industry-specific credit risks, and structuring commercial credit transactions • Ability to proactively identify potential credit risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies • Ability to manage complex portfolios and adhere to credit policies • Ability to communicate credit decisions effectively to internal and external partners • Ability to drive loan structuring and closing processes with minimal oversight • Familiarity with credit agreements, loan documentation, and regulatory requirements • Proficiency in financial analysis tools, CRM systems, and underwriting software • Must adhere to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and complete required compliance trainings
