📋 Description

• Contribute production code regularly and use AI agents in day-to-day delivery • Own technical direction, architecture decisions, technical health, and roadmap • Lead phased modernization of legacy .NET/C# and Angular components while building with Python, Node.js, and React • Decompose work into bounded tasks and assign them to engineers, AI agents, or self • Own pull request reviews and provide substantive feedback • Manage and resolve the technical-debt backlog • Hire, evaluate, coach, and develop engineers • Create agent instructions, verification protocols, and human-in-the-loop controls • Run pre-merge evaluation checks and retain human control over production merges • Maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing • Drive CI/CD automation, containerized delivery, and Infrastructure as Code • Track engineering health and delivery metrics, including reporting through Atlassian Compass • Facilitate bi-weekly cloud-environment demos • Partner with production support through tooling, automation, documentation, and runbooks • Reduce operational toil while applying security guardrails, blast-radius limits, and audit trails • Track and remediate WIZ Critical and Major findings within required service levels • Maintain architecture documentation, ADRs, runbooks, and agent instructions

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7+ years of relevant software engineering experience • Experience as a senior engineer or technical lead and prior leadership of at least one engineering team • Hands-on full-stack development experience and willingness to continue coding while managing engineers • Strong proficiency with Python, Node.js, and React • Experience maintaining and modernizing .NET/C# services and Angular front ends • Demonstrated use of agentic or AI-assisted software development workflows in real delivery environments • Ownership of the full development lifecycle: build, test, release, operate, troubleshoot, and iterate • Cloud-native application experience on Azure; AWS or GCP experience also relevant • Hands-on experience with containerized workloads and orchestration • Infrastructure as Code experience with Bicep, Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK • Strong automated testing and CI/CD experience • Ability to make significant technical contributions and sound architecture decisions • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required • Exposure to financial services, accounting, finance, tax technology, finance transformation, tax software development, or implementation environments • Ability to own assigned work through completion, including requirements, configuration, testing, debugging, and system/process changes • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is unavailable • Must reside in one of the specified U.S. states or Washington DC
