📋 Description

• Answer calls in a professional manner and act in accordance with the Interpreter’s Code of Conduct. • Be prepared to take notes during calls. • Be familiar with industry-specific vocabulary, particularly healthcare and medical terminology. • Render all messages accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or substituting content. • Deliver the highest level of customer service while interpreting. • Facilitate communication between limited-French-proficiency individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretation of messages. • Apply professional standards of practice. • Participate in internal professional training. • Be motivated to obtain additional professional certifications. • Communicate with and report to your team leader. • Comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

🎯 Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (French) and native in the target language (Lingala). • Minimum 1 year of over-the-telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company. • Good knowledge of medical terminology. • Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus. • International certifications in the healthcare industry are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA). • High school diploma completed in your native language. • High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance. • Strong communication, active listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
