📋 Description

• Serve as inspection team leader or team member on routine bridge and ancillary structure inspections, including sign and lighting structures, primarily in Illinois • Occasionally assist with inspections across the Midwest and Texas • Develop detailed inspection reports and documentation • Apply structural engineering principles to bridge inspection and design projects • Perform load rating calculations and support design efforts • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality and timely project delivery • Perform field inspections in outdoor environments • Travel for site visits and inspections

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering • EIT certification required • PE preferred; SE highly desirable • Engineering technicians with relevant experience are encouraged to apply • 2+ years of experience in bridge inspection and/or bridge design • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Positive attitude, commitment to quality, and excellent work ethic • Ability and willingness to travel for inspections • Completion of NHI courses for Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and Ancillary Highway Structures preferred but not required • Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform field inspections • Travel required for site visits and inspections
