📋 Description

• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair customers' basic biomedical equipment • Perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections as assigned • Assist more experienced technicians with basic and complex repairs/resolution • Communicate and partner effectively with teammates and colleagues • Follow GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and complete required documentation • Maintain daily customer communications to ensure resolution and follow-up • Implement GE/customer facility contracts and support business goals/objectives • Provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area as part of the local team • Share on-call responsibility when trained • Document repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule • Care for spares, tools, and test equipment and ensure calibration • Maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures for safe and effective medical equipment use • Use manuals, technical support, Facetime, and online resources to answer questions during planned maintenance • Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety, regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements • Complete quality and compliance training on schedule • Report customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization • Accurately and timely document work orders, vendor service reports, time and expense reports, planned maintenance activities, purchase orders, and other duties • Track test equipment and ensure 100% calibration on time

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment • Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy to understand manner • Successful completion of GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test • Compliance with customer access policies, including required immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks as applicable • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods • Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity • Specific vision abilities may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception • Willingness to be available after hours or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends • One year of experience • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available
