• Travel 100% on a rotational basis to wind farms throughout the U.S., with cross-country travel by air or truck • Perform composite blade repair uptower via platforms, rope access, and occasionally on the ground • Perform epoxy and polyester resin wet layup • Perform vacuum infusion • Repair balsa and foam sandwich materials • Complete structural repairs • Complete detailed Daily Progress Reporting Documents and QAQC reports • Complete onsite stock checks • Assist the site lead and project coordinator as applicable • Support maintenance of wind turbine rotor blades to preserve their profile, structural integrity, and electricity-generating efficiency
• 2+ years of composite repair experience • Platform and/or rope access experience • Understanding of epoxy and polyester resins, wet lay-up, and vacuum bag techniques • Understanding of balsa and foam core materials • Knowledge of fiberglass reinforcement and structural repair • Ability to safely and correctly use powered hand tools • Knowledge of temperature and humidity restrictions in specifications • Ability to read complex technical drawings and processes • IT literacy, including email, internet, and iPad • Willingness to spend time away from home in the field • Flexibility for changes of scope • Ability to work well as a team and take guidance • Valid, current driver's license • Must be at least 21 years old to drive a company vehicle • Ability to meet strenuous physical requirements, including climbing ladders 2 or more times per day up to 300 feet/90 meters, bending, crawling, stooping, and lifting up to 75 pounds • US or Canadian citizenship, or legal authorization to work in either country • Ability to travel 100% on an 8/1 rotation throughout the year • Ability to travel frequently by commercial airline to project sites throughout North America • Ability to meet physical demands including climbing wind turbines up to 125m+/400+ feet, standing and walking, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, crawling, stooping, crouching, kneeling, bending, gripping, and repetitive manual tool use • Comfort working at heights up to 400 feet and no fear of heights • Commitment to following company and client Safety, Quality, and Performance policies and procedures
