📋 Description

• Build and lead a new team of Account Executives focused on landing and expanding GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform within major New York-area banks, capital markets firms, and insurers • Own new-logo pipeline, bookings, and revenue • Build relationships with prospective and existing customers • Recruit, hire, and onboard sales talent for US Financial Services • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to deliver business, bookings, and revenue results • Drive territory and industry planning by analyzing market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive trends • Build and execute go-to-market motions with Solutions Architects, partners, and Marketing • Develop and own sales forecasts, account plans, and growth strategies • Establish, track, and report team performance metrics and address gaps • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, and other cross-functional partners on pipeline health and deal execution • Create a high-performing, inclusive team culture through coaching, expectations, and development • Educate and enable the team on GitLab's product, pricing, AI-powered DevSecOps positioning, and financial-services regulatory factors • Help define territory and go-to-market strategy for a new growth region • Report to the AVP, Financial Services

🎯 Requirements

• 5-10+ years of front-line enterprise sales leadership in an open source software, DevOps, or similar software-as-a-service environment • Track record of large new-logo wins • Success building and developing account-focused sales teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management • Experience selling to large, complex enterprises, ideally financial institutions • Proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue and pipeline targets • Experience building and executing go-to-market strategies for regulated industries • Familiarity with vendor risk, security review, and procurement processes • Strong operational rigor and experience running the business • Experience working with Cloud and GSI partners • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity in a fast-paced, build-from-scratch environment • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills • Ability to mentor others • Alignment with GitLab's values and passion for open source • Experience in, or strong appetite for, working in a remote, asynchronous company • Based in or near the New York area • Ability to travel to customer sites and comply with the company's travel policy
