📋 Description

• Lead multi-quarter technical initiatives from problem framing through rollout • Gather user feedback and measure whether shipped work achieved its goals • Mentor and collaborate with engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and pairing • Participate in on-call for supported services • Contribute to incident response and post-incident learning • Provide technical support during customer escalations • Identify areas of high user friction • Represent the team's work across squads • Write design proposals and run demos • Advocate for the roadmap in cross-team discussions • Build and evolve Grafana visualizations for data understanding and insight generation

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience leading teams through projects, mentoring engineers, and serving as a force multiplier • Clear communication in a fully remote, asynchronous environment • Experience being on-call, supporting production software, ensuring reliability, and responding to incidents • Experience building production software systems • Ability to tackle complex engineering problems with minimal supervision • User-focused, pragmatic approach using short feedback loops • Familiarity with AI technologies and frameworks • Interest in contributing to the Grafana Community • Bonus: open-source contribution or maintainership • Bonus: active interest in observability, including Metrics, Logs, and Traces • Bonus: experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or Tempo • Bonus: experience in a fully remote, globally distributed team • Primary technical stack: TypeScript, React, uPlot, and eCharts
