📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define requirements and drive product development from conception to launch • Build and improve full-stack experiences for Talent Matching, Talent Rediscovery, and related talent discovery workflows • Design and ship search-backed capabilities using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing strategies, query design, relevance tuning, ranking improvements, and semantic retrieval patterns • Develop matching systems combining keyword, structured, and semantic signals • Apply AI/ML techniques such as embeddings, similarity search, classification, and ranking to improve match quality and consistency • Partner with Applied ML and cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate relevance, latency, reliability, infrastructure cost, and user trust trade-offs • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers • Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to team engineering practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience writing production code • Deep production experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing, query design, relevance tuning, and performance trade-offs • Experience with Ruby, C#, Java, or Python; Ruby on Rails preferred • Strong JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals, including React • Full-stack experience across backend systems, APIs, data modeling, and modern frontend development • Experience building search, ranking, recommendation, or matching systems • Practical production experience applying AI or ML techniques such as embeddings, semantic search, classification, or ranking • Experience collaborating with Product and Design in ambiguous, user-facing problem spaces • Experience with analytical databases is a plus • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada as of the start date chosen by the Company
