• Report to the Director of Product Management and coordinate day-to-day with another Product Owner • Help set product vision and align stakeholders around vision, strategy, and customer needs • Maintain a clear, prioritized product backlog and goals for each product increment through iterative Agile development • Specify product requirements, plan development iterations, review development progress, and accept deliverables for customer release • Understand and monitor changing customer needs with product and customer growth teams • Track product metrics to maximize customer value and inform product investment decisions • Translate company/product strategy into prioritized, outcome-based roadmaps • Engage customers to understand needs, test concepts, and validate backlog priorities • Evaluate enhancements and make build/buy/partner and sequencing tradeoffs • Groom the backlog; write user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases • Balance technical debt, new features, and bug fixes; make prioritization decisions • Lead product solutioning with customer success, product design, and other team members • Serve as development team's decision-maker on scope, sequencing, and acceptance • Unblock engineering and manage scope changes during releases • Own release readiness and confirm features solve defined needs • Provide product expertise to sales for RFPs, demonstrations, training, and documentation • Represent customer/market needs to engineering and engineering constraints to the business • Manage stakeholder demands and communicate status, risk, and tradeoffs to leadership • Define and measure feature or initiative success; analyze adoption, satisfaction, and delivery predictability • Synthesize qualitative feedback and quantitative usage data into product decisions • Validate assumptions through prototypes, pilots, and spikes • Mentor less experienced Product Owners and improve product development processes
• 7+ years experience in B2B SaaS software organization(s), with 4+ years experience working in a Product Owner role • Energy/utility industry experience and knowledge is required, including experience in transmission planning and/or interconnection processes • Skilled in written and verbal communication, transitioning between technical and business content areas • Experience communicating effectively with executive-level stakeholders and proposing risk-mitigation and opportunity-securing pathways • In-depth understanding of Agile software development methodology • Ability to stay on top of multiple projects, teams, and deliverables • Ability to adapt to changing internal and external priorities • U.S. person status required: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided
