📋 Description

• Design and build scalable, conformed data models and analytical layers serving experimentation and company KPIs • Own warehouse data connectors end to end, including replicated backend tables, custom connectors, and third-party managed sources • Manage infrastructure as code and deployment workflows across AWS and GCP using Kubernetes and OpenTofu (Terraform) • Own data pipelines, monitor freshness, and respond urgently to failures • Participate as a senior voice in data architecture decisions, including table types, datastores, and schemas from backend to semantic layers • Partner with analysts, ML engineers, and product stakeholders to translate business questions into reusable self-service data models • Champion engineering quality through testing, code reviews, observability, and operational practices • Ensure data model reliability across ingestion, data quality, accuracy, coverage gaps, and upstream/downstream failures

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production data platforms and analytical models • Deep expertise in SQL and Python • Broad experience with dimensional modelling: grain, table types, conformed dimensions, and load patterns • Hands-on experience with BigQuery, dbt, Dagster, and ingestion tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte, or Google Datastream • Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and message queues or streams such as Kafka, SQS, or Pub/Sub • SRE-oriented experience with monitoring, alerting, incident response, and performance optimization for data integrations • Experience shipping data and metrics safely, with validation habits and awareness of compute costs • Legally eligible to work in Canada
