📋 Description

• Support the ongoing development and evaluation of H&R Block's corporate strategy • Define long-term growth priorities and strategic choices • Conduct market, customer, competitive, and financial analyses • Formulate and test hypotheses related to growth strategies, market expansion, customer needs, new business models, and transformation initiatives • Create data-driven recommendations, executive presentations, and strategic perspectives for senior leadership, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Board of Directors • Lead and contribute to high-priority strategy projects with cross-functional teams • Evaluate opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and drive outcomes • Support the enterprise strategic planning process and align priorities, investments, initiatives, and success metrics • Facilitate executive workshops and stakeholder discussions • Analyze competitive landscapes, emerging technologies, and disruptive forces affecting tax, financial services, and small business industries • Support evaluation of strategic partnerships, new business initiatives, and growth opportunities • Build trusted relationships and influence leaders across functions to advance strategic priorities and informed decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience • 4–6+ years of experience or equivalent in strategy-focused management consulting, corporate strategy, business transformation, growth strategy, investment banking, private equity, or a related field • Ability to structure and solve complex, ambiguous business problems and deliver measurable business impact • Strong strategic, analytical, and financial modeling capabilities • Exceptional communication skills and ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling recommendations • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority • Experience working with senior leaders and executive stakeholders • Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, strong collaboration skills, bias for action, and track record of creating value and delivering measurable business impact • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree • Preferred: Experience supporting executive leadership teams, Board-level discussions, or enterprise strategic planning • Preferred: Experience in financial services, consumer services, small business services, technology, retail, or other customer-centric industries • Preferred: Strong knowledge of organic and inorganic value creation levers and/or experience developing AI transformation strategies
