📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and technical leads specializing in SAP Commerce Cloud • Define engineering best practices, coding standards, and agile methodologies across the platform team • Foster innovation, quality, and accountability within the engineering organization • Own the architectural vision and technical roadmap for SAP Commerce Cloud across B2B and/or B2C • Drive technical decisions and integrations with SAP S/4HANA, ERP, CRM, and third-party systems • Ensure scalable, modular, and future-proof architecture aligned with enterprise strategy • Oversee planning, estimation, and execution of engineering deliverables and product releases • Partner with Product Management and UX to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Track performance metrics, engineering velocity, and delivery quality • Partner with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment strategies • Support shift-left testing, security, and performance validation • Collaborate with product, QA, operations, and business teams • Manage external development partners and SAP technical consultants as needed • Lead end-to-end engineering initiatives for SAP Commerce Cloud

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field • 10+ years of software engineering experience • 5+ years in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development and architecture • 5+ years of management experience • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and microservices architecture • Experience with cloud-native development and deployment, including SAP Commerce Cloud in public cloud environments • Track record of leading large-scale, customer-facing commerce platforms • Deep knowledge of integration patterns with SAP backend systems, including S/4HANA, SAP ERP, and SAP CPI • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies • SAP Certified Development Specialist – SAP Commerce Cloud • Experience with headless commerce, composable architecture, and MACH principles • Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, and Spartacus • Background in performance tuning, load testing, and site reliability engineering • Outstanding management, leadership, communication, presentation, decision-making, analysis, problem-solving, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills • Ability to lead and develop virtual teams • Ability to work with senior management and key stakeholders • Travel typically less than 15% • Ability to work in an office environment
