📋 Description

• Perform complex account reconciliations, financial analysis, and journal entry preparation • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including month-end and year-end activities • Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance • Investigate and resolve accounting, reporting, and financial system issues • Monitor and analyze accounts receivable, revenue, payroll-related transactions, and inter-unit accounts • Prepare reconciliations, working papers, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits • Identify financial risks, control gaps, and opportunities to improve financial processes • Develop and maintain financial procedures, documentation, and reporting tools • Provide guidance on accounting standards, financial policies, procedures, and compliance requirements • Support financial system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in financial operations, accounting, financial reporting, and complex reconciliations • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, financial reporting, and audit requirements • Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries and month-end/year-end financial activities • Experience with ERP and financial information systems • Experience supporting internal and/or external audits • Experience interpreting and applying accounting standards and financial policies • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound professional judgment • Experience identifying and implementing financial process and control improvements is strongly preferred • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada • Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or Valid Work Permit
