• Overall responsibility for a specific account including growth in orders, share of customer spend, and customer satisfaction • Lead an account team including direct reports and mobilize Hitachi Energy resources across business units • Represent and grow the Hitachi Energy relationship with the account from a US perspective • Execute the strategic account process and deliver business unit value propositions • Engage with customer senior executives and initiate/maintain C-Level relationships • Leverage Hitachi Energy technology to solve customer business issues and drive competitive advantage • Act as focal point for problem resolution and monitor Customer Complaint Resolution Process • Plan, facilitate and conduct complex negotiations and drive growth in assigned account • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of customer strategy, purchasing behavior, decision-makers and influencers • Mentor and coach team members, identify resources, and ensure successful enactment of account strategy • Provide regular reports, briefings and participate in cross-Hitachi Energy account director community
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical (engineering) or business discipline required • MBA preferred • 12+ years of experience preferred • 5 years of selling to investor owned utilities preferred • Diversity of experience – multiple products, customers, countries, market segments • Proven ability to work in a matrixed team environment • Must be able to motivate and influence others • Experience with sales, problem resolution, and relationship building • Strong business acumen • Experience managing direct reports and leading account teams • Ability to initiate and maintain C-Level relationships • Experience planning and executing strategic account plans and complex negotiations
