📋 Description

• Design Dry-Type Transformers and Reactors for low and high power applications, 1VA – 1.6 MVA at low frequencies (< 400hz) • Responsible for new product designs and cost estimates • Organize and maintain design project schedules • Clearly organize and document product design records while following established system guidelines • Provide technical assistance to Customers, Technical Sales, Customer Service, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing • Design to meet Agency/compliance requirements and internal quality standards and manufacturing practices • Assure product quality by designing effective electrical testing methods for manufacturing • Monitor prototyping efforts with manufacturing and vendors when applicable • Lead electrical design for new products and make improvements to existing products to ensure ACME maintains a strong cost position • Interface directly with manufacturing team to resolve production issues • Create development and production drawings in SolidWorks • Create Bills of Material and Routings for products within SAP • Update Engineering documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 10 years’ experience or equivalent related engineering experience • Extensive experience in design of Power Distribution Unit (PDU) transformers for data center applications • Experience with Transformer Design software such as OPS, Ansoft or equivalents • UL/CSA, NEMA transformer standards knowledge preferred • Ability to read and create detailed technical wiring diagrams, schematics, and bill of materials • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
