• Monitor assigned shared mailboxes and related docket requests • Timely docket requests according to firm guidelines and procedures using the firm’s IP Business docketing software • Independently docket for designated assignment groups across multiple offices and/or shared docketing mailboxes • Review documents to identify and docket all deadlines accurately • Review USPTO and foreign filings and verify accuracy via foreign and domestic agency websites as necessary • De-docket completed deadlines • Verify docketed and de-docketed items and resolve discrepancies • Ensure accuracy of timekeepers assigned to matters • Create, review, and distribute accurate matter reports • Respond to timekeepers and staff regarding docketed dates and foreign and domestic agency rules and regulations • Collaborate with the IP Docket Manager to improve docketing best practices, policies, and processes • Process abandoned and transferred matters and assist with onboarding incoming portfolios • Assist the Docket Team with special projects • Remain current with developments, procedures, and regulations in US and foreign filing entities • Report to the Senior IP Docket Manager and assist IP Docket Managers as directed
• 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate required • 4-year degree preferred in related field • 3-5 years of IP docketing experience • Specific proficiency using IP docketing software including PattsyWave • Strong knowledge of patent and trademark prosecution process and IP business workflows • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe products, and internet research • Ability to prepare, export, edit, filter, sort, search, and reformat large spreadsheets within Excel • Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and resourcefulness • Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands in a fast-paced environment • Cover letter and resume required when applying • Principal Applicants Only
