📋 Description

• Lead complete projects independently across backend services, APIs, and data pipelines • Define experimentation, development, and rollout strategies across multiple systems • Architect scalable, robust, performant, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions for high-throughput marketing operations • Identify and solve underlying technical problems; design reusable abstractions • Partner with Marketing and Product stakeholders to influence features, requirements, and technical/product strategy • Make trade-offs between complexity, business value, and delivery timelines • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and onboarding • Improve team productivity through process improvements and automation

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years of software engineering experience • Expert-level proficiency in Python for scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines • Proven experience leading complete projects end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, experimentation, and production rollout • Deep expertise with Snowflake, SQL, ETL processes, Airflow, and DBT • Experience designing for performance, scalability, and robustness • Experience implementing observability solutions including logging, metrics, and tracing • Strong product thinking and ability to make strategic technical and business trade-offs • Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor engineers and drive cross-team alignment • Currently hiring candidates in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, or Nova Scotia • Preferred: experience with automation frameworks, ad platform APIs, digital marketing operations, cloud cost optimization, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, technical debt modernization, security-by-design, incident response, and AI-assisted development infrastructure
