📋 Description

• Provide executive leadership for integrated revenue diversification, growth, and strategic partnerships aligned with Kinvia’s 10-year strategic vision • Lead evolution from traditional fundraising toward a balanced revenue mix including major gifts, philanthropy, partnerships, institutional funding, and innovative revenue models • Establish revenue growth pathways, multi-year forecasting, and financial sustainability with the senior leadership team • Monitor external trends in philanthropy, development, and social impact financing • Lead integrated resource mobilization aligning fundraising, strategic partnerships, communications, brand, and impact storytelling • Steward long-standing donor and partner relationships and cultivate select high-value relationships • Oversee major gifts, foundations, corporate partnerships, institutional funding, and other revenue streams • Ensure donor and partner stewardship, prospect development, and relationship management systems • Co-design funding and partnership strategies with the VP, Programs & Partnerships • Activate Board members, committees, and volunteer leaders to expand relationship capital and revenue capacity • Provide executive oversight to integrated fundraising communications, brand, and engagement strategies • Advise the President & CEO and Board on reputation, positioning, communications risks, and crisis communications • Serve as strategic advisor to the President & CEO and contributor to Senior Leadership Team decisions • Support the Board through reporting and strategic insight on revenue, risk, and opportunity • Foster cross-functional collaboration across programs, finance, operations, and resource mobilization • Lead the advancement and partnerships team through two Directors • Support talent development, succession planning, and organizational resilience • Oversee development and communications budgets, revenue targets, forecasting, and performance reporting • Ensure ethical donor stewardship, data management, compliance, systems, controls, and effective use of CRM systems • Prepare reports and recommendations for the President & CEO and Board • Travel domestically and internationally as required and accommodate occasional evenings or weekends

🎯 Requirements

• Progressive senior leadership experience in fundraising, advancement, or revenue development • Demonstrated success growing and diversifying revenue • Experience leading through complexity, change, and constraint while maintaining long-term sustainability • Deep expertise in major gifts and relationship-based fundraising • Experience across multiple revenue streams, including annual giving, mass market, major gifts, individuals, foundations, and corporations • Strong strategic, financial, and systems-thinking capabilities • Experience with forecasting, multi-year planning, budget management, charity regulations, and CRA guidelines • Exceptional relationship-building skills with donors, partners, executives, and Boards • Demonstrated ability to lead and empower senior leaders and build high-performing collaborative teams • Excellent communication, influence, and executive presence • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization, anti-racism, and anti-oppression • Experience working closely with a non-profit Board of Directors • Strong alignment with Kinvia’s mission and values • Cultural knowledge, humility, and sensitivity, including ability to engage respectfully with Indigenous partners in Canada and global partners • Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as required • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada • French or Spanish language skills considered an asset • CFRE designation considered an asset • Ability and willingness to be based in Toronto or Ottawa • Experience with fundraising and CRM systems such as Blackbaud NXT
