📋 Description

• Provide customer support through the 24/7/365 help desk • Troubleshoot email delivery issues • Troubleshoot cPanel, Plesk, and DirectAdmin issues • Troubleshoot DNS, FTP, SSL, Apache, and other service-related issues • Ensure customer satisfaction and exceed customer expectations • Primarily provide support over email • Occasionally provide live chat and phone support • Work day shifts in CST • Participate in three weeks of customer service department work for non-support positions is not applicable to this role

🎯 Requirements

• Must live in or be willing to relocate to Alabama • Full-time employment; KnownHost must be your only hosting-related job • Must pass a background check and drug test • Customer-focused and willing to do whatever it takes to resolve customer issues • Excellent written English • Must be able to work under pressure • Multi-tasking required • Familiarity with Linux shell (bash), Apache, PHP, MySQL, POP3/IMAP/SMTP, FTP, DNS, and standard web hosting applications and protocols • Working knowledge of at least one of cPanel/WHM, Plesk, or DirectAdmin • Ability to ask customers for complete error messages or derive context from insufficient information • Working knowledge of iptables firewalls, such as CSF or APF • Familiarity with common customer website applications, including Drupal, WordPress, MediaWiki, Magento, and ZenCart • Knowledge of MySQL support/troubleshooting commands, including importing/dumping databases, simple SELECT statements, and SHOW PROCESSLIST • Knowledge of PHP, Python, Perl, and Ruby on Rails is a bonus • Willingness to work day shift employees CST • Ability to provide occasional live chat and phone support • Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and overtime as needed
