📋 Description

• Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing software development team within Financial Services • Guide, motivate and grow software developers solving complex Financial Services problems • Directly and indirectly manage a team through collaboration with and mentorship of a Technical Lead Staff Engineer • Collaborate with architects, Product teams, engineering leadership and stakeholders on team priorities and roadmaps • Identify, communicate and remove impediments and delivery risks within the team and across Financial Services • Plan and support individual professional growth through 1-1s, performance reviews, feedback, goal-setting and promotions • Report team progress and status to engineering leadership and stakeholders • Find and hire top talent for the team and wider organization • Provide technical and process guidance during delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Solid, demonstrable technical background • Proven track record of supporting, mentoring, leading and growing a development team • Experience leading a team of developers through successful delivery of software products • Experience delivering microservice-driven, scalable, cloud-based applications • Strong working knowledge of Java or TypeScript or Ruby or Python • Professional experience in agile development and continuous delivery best practices • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Ability to personally coach, mentor and drive individuals and overall teams • Strong passion for continuous learning and improvement • Quality-driven mindset focused on software scalability and resilience • Located in Canada • Able to work within EST/EDT hours
