📋 Description

• Identify, define, and solve strategically essential technical problems • Architect and build highly scalable foundational platforms • Lead new product initiatives and revamp existing core application experiences • Implement and manage security controls for SOX and other regulatory compliance • Mentor and lead engineers and develop future leaders • Support infrastructure audits and due diligence processes • Advise leadership on technology adoption and process improvements • Help shape the overall engineering culture • Participate in the shared on-call rotation • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot production issues, outages, and critical alerts • Perform root cause analysis and improve service reliability • Escalate incidents and collaborate to restore service • Document issues and reduce recurring incidents

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of industry professional software development experience • Track record of building impactful products or systems • Skilled at writing logical and maintainable code • Ability to provide clear feedback in code reviews • Technical proficiency to understand and contribute to project and idea design and implementation • Excellent communication and effective prioritization skills • Ability to participate in a shared on-call rotation supporting production systems • Availability for occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage while on call • Experience in a pre-IPO or public company environment is a plus • Operating Ruby on Rails in a cloud environment for 2+ years is a plus • Must reside and work remotely from Canada • Must be authorized to work in Canada • English language proficiency
