Founded by a former school nutrition director, LunchAssist offers Administrative Review audit preparation, on-demand USDA-approved training (English & Spanish), professional standards tracking, checklists, and consulting from former auditors and directors to help districts stay compliant and save time. The service is used by over 400 school nutrition programs across 26 states and emphasizes reducing regulatory burden so staff can focus on feeding children.

📋 Description

• Draft client communications and follow-ups • Prepare action items from meetings and compliance documentation • Support menu planning, nutrient analysis, and recipe crediting • Support SNP/CACFP Administrative and Procurement Reviews • Assist with special projects, resource management tools, and state reporting • Contribute to consulting strategy and execution • Provide coverage to experienced consultants during leave • Support and lead client meetings, primarily via Zoom • Advise school nutrition directors on USDA and State requirements (CDE) • Prepare clients for Administrative and Procurement Reviews • Contribute to projects such as CEP/P2, bids and procurement, and farm-to-school • Develop training materials, tools, and resources • Support webinars and conferences • Improve tools, systems, and content • Speak at webinars and conferences • Support and mentor new consultants • Operate within consulting pods and contribute to shared delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree • Registered Dietitian and/or previous employment by a State Agency conducting SNP Administrative Reviews • 5+ years of experience in school nutrition (district, State, or USDA) • Strong menu planning and compliance experience • Strong communication skills, emphasizing digital communications such as Zoom and email • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and attention to detail • Organized, adaptable, collaborative, resourceful, and humble • Native or fluent Spanish proficiency, with the ability to deliver training and consulting in Spanish (preferred) • Must provide a home office setup, including a computer • Must be able to travel 10% of the time • Availability required until 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time
