📋 Description

• Contribute to the technical vision for database engineering, maintenance, and cloud migration of relational and non-relational databases • Design high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions for database architecture to ensure 99.99% availability • Work on platform architecture, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, multi-AZ, and multi-region database support • Automate database operations to reduce manual work • Modernize database designs and implementations to improve reliability, resiliency, and scalability • Collaborate with engineers across teams to execute short- and long-term technical vision • Perform root-cause analysis, remediation, and documentation to minimize incidents

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a backend engineer • Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree with no relevant experience • In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of relevant experience may suffice • Experience with cloud-native databases, preferably AWS • Experience with transactional RDBMS such as AWS Aurora, AWS RDS MySQL, Percona MySQL, Postgres, and DynamoDB • Experience in cloud-based high availability and disaster recovery solutions • Experience with IaC, automation, and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, SpaceLift, AWS Step Functions, and CloudFormation • Team-oriented approach and ability to work cross-functionally • Experience with payments or the FinTech space is a nice-to-have
