âą Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements with clients, vendors, service providers, and business partners. âą Provide legal advice and support on matters relating to commercial law, contracts, privacy, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management. âą Partner with leaders and stakeholders across the organization to support strategic business initiatives and operational priorities. âą Support real estate transactions, leasing arrangements, and other property-related matters. âą Identify legal risks and provide recommendations that align with business objectives. âą Collaborate with external counsel when specialized expertise is required. âą Monitor legal and regulatory developments and help ensure ongoing compliance. âą Contribute to legal projects, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Legal Services team.
âą Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) âą Member in good standing with a Law Society in at least one Canadian province âą 4-7 years of experience as a practicing lawyer âą Experience working as in-house counsel âą Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts âą Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills âą Strong business acumen and the ability to provide sound legal guidance in a complex business environment âą Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively âą Security Clearance Requirement: Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B) includes Fingerprinting, Criminal Record Check, Credit Check, and residency in Canada for at least 5 years holding Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.
