• Grow sales and market share for Superficial Venous Intervention products in an assigned territory • Develop new accounts and drive adoption of VenaSeal and Closure System products across the continuum of care for venous disease • Manage territory organization, planning, administration, and expenses ethically and in compliance with company policies • Train medical staff on products and procedures • Meet and exceed sales budgets, AOP, and account development targets • Develop and execute ongoing sales plans and strategies for business growth and account penetration • Prospect among surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, and other physicians treating venous disease • Identify opportunities in current and new customer accounts, including hospitals, surgery centers, and physician offices • Leverage TAP programs, CVG collaborations, product portfolios, partnerships, and contracting opportunities • Monitor market trends and competitor information and communicate relevant changes to sales management • Build relationships with decision makers, customers, administrators, and staff; understand needs, overcome objections, gain commitments, and close business • Plan and deliver sales and product presentations and educate referral channels • Maintain existing business and develop new opportunities • Represent Medtronic at industry conferences and pursue sales leads • Develop strategies to counter competitors • Educate customers on product features and effective use; respond to requests and resolve complaints • Plan cases with physicians, manage expectations, support cases, and engage in clinical conversations about EndoVenous products • Work with marketing, customer service, finance, and other internal functions to meet targets • Communicate market intelligence, competitor activity, sales leads, pricing, and account activity to the District Sales Manager and other personnel • Develop technical and clinical product knowledge, understand competitive products, and maintain knowledge of reimbursement
• Bachelor's degree required • 5+ years of B2B sales or healthcare sales experience • Medical device, capital equipment, surgical sales, and/or pharmaceutical sales experience preferred • Degree in biological science or business preferred • Ability to meet hospital vendor compliance requirements • Knowledge of operating room, hospital, and physician office protocols and conduct • Excellent verbal and listening skills • Ability to teach and educate medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel • Presentation skills • Business planning skills • PC literacy • Ability to use technology and applications such as iPad and Salesforce.com • Willingness to travel, including potentially overnight travel • Must be able to work/travel weekends and evenings • Ability to perform on-call time • Ability to transport product/equipment from car to hospital • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to eight-plus hours per day • Ability to travel extensively with ease; approximately 10% of time • Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within the assigned territory • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy required • Driving record will be reviewed as part of the application • Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) • Must comply with hospital and clinic credentialing requirements • Ability to work in healthcare settings with exposure to eye protection requirements, infectious disease, and radiation
