📋 Description
• Build and maintain features for our Rails-based platform serving 1M+ developers. • Design, write, and maintain the software that powers everything we do. • Be a part of the entire lifecycle from conception through deployment. • Shape Our Engineering Culture. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering documentation. • Debug and resolve production issues as they arise. • Collaborate with product and design on feature specifications and technical approach.
🎯 Requirements
• 3+ years professional Ruby on Rails development experience • Experience building and maintaining production Rails applications at scale • Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) • Proficiency with modern JavaScript/React • Experience with Git workflows and code review practices • Proven ability to work independently in remote/distributed teams • Strong experience in TDD and modern development practices • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong self-direction and ability to manage deliverables independently • An interest in reimagining the future of education and work. • Direct experience/familiarity with MLH’s community is a plus.
