• Enable business and IT leaders to make investment decisions balancing current operational demands with long-term organizational strategy • Provide technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices within capability domains • Evaluate existing projects and assess required business capabilities • Drive the target landscape and create functionality roadmaps • Help design and build MMA’s business-unit Enterprise Architecture group • Establish architecture review standards, key principles, and core processes • Serve as subject matter expert for one or more business capability domains • Understand complex upstream and downstream dependencies across servicing, transaction, and operational workflows • Direct, guide, and define IT architecture within assigned domains • Review proposals and initiatives and provide technical expertise for projects • Develop implementation proposals for applications, capabilities, and services • Partner with project sponsors and business users to understand solution requirements • Manage development of application components, system interfaces and designs, and deployment of new systems and services • Contribute to technology standards and best practices for development, quality assurance, security, and service onboarding • Monitor industry trends and communicate technology opportunities to leadership and business-unit peers • Advise and mentor technology colleagues and team members
• 5-7 years of Enterprise Architecture experience • Experience building enterprise technical solutions and strategies • Leadership experience managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects • Ability to influence senior-level management and key stakeholders • Experience as a domain architect or enterprise architect supporting a large insurance or brokerage organization • Direct accountability for architecting capabilities across complex, high-volume operational platforms and business processes • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and sell a vision • Ability to align business objectives with IT strategy • Experience translating insurance operating model requirements into actionable architectural roadmaps • Understanding of Insurance Broking, Risk Management, or Employee Benefits processes and solutions • Experience in large-scale application rationalization programs • TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Certification
