⢠Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry/case information from nuanced patient medical records ⢠Ensure quality submission of data in specified registries or measure data repositories while maintaining a high accuracy threshold ⢠Prioritize and organize multiple concurrent tasks and team requests, meet tight deadlines, manage expectations, flag obstacles, and propose timely solutions ⢠Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools ⢠Troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications using team resources ⢠Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents ⢠Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline tasks and processes ⢠Keep current with mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements ⢠Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
⢠Direct clinical data abstraction experience within the NSQIP registry during the past year ⢠Active SCR certification ⢠Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases ⢠Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel ⢠Strong analytical and critical thinking skills ⢠Ability to synthesize data and suggest recommendations ⢠High standards for accuracy and attention to detail ⢠Technical savvy and willingness to learn new systems and technology ⢠Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and patient records ⢠Clear, consistent communication with hospital partners, peers, team leads, and others ⢠Strong self-organization and time management skills ⢠Ability to manage multiple accounts and adapt to shifting timelines and priorities ⢠Ability to adapt to changes in hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments ⢠Responsibility for keeping PHI secure and confidential ⢠Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship ⢠Direct clinical experience preferred ⢠RN, LPN, RT, or RCIS credentials preferred
