📋 Description

• Design and build the platform that powers large-scale machine learning model training, fine-tuning, and evaluations workflows • Co-design and optimize systems and models to increase cost-effectiveness of training • Enable reliable and efficient training workflows for foundation and generative AI models • Diagnose and optimize performance of large distributed training jobs • Adopt and promote best practices in operations to ensure engineering excellence • Lead technical design reviews and facilitate cross-functional discussions

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise in distributed model training and systems required to operate it at scale • Strong technical depth • Sound engineering judgment • Ability to influence across teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience with cloud computing providers, preferably AWS • Comfortable with ambiguity and working across multiple layers of the tech stack • Familiarity with cloud-based AI/ML services (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, Databricks, OpenAI) • Familiarity with distributed training performance analysis tools and techniques (e.g., PyTorch Profiler) • Experience with large-scale distributed training and different parallelism techniques (such as FSDP and tensor/pipeline parallelism) • Expertise in the area of Generative AI, specifically in training foundation models
