📋 Description

• Report to the National Sales Director, Grid • Drive strategic growth and market expansion for Utility Wire & Cable in Canada • Assist in developing annual business plans for assigned accounts and delivering annual sales and volume targets • Execute account approaches and selling strategies for existing accounts and new business opportunities • Manage renewal processes for frame agreements • Act as an expert in execution and interpretation of frame-agreement SLAs • Support marketing with competitor, customer and market analysis, research and reporting • Analyze business performance and recommend actions to drive sales growth • Work with product development and production teams to develop products and specifications meeting customer requirements and sales targets • Maintain effective relationships with marketing, sales service, plants and engineering • Support after-sales and customer service, field technical problems and customer product issues • Support Inside Sales on quotes and orders for utility project work • Achieve and exceed utility wire and cable sales targets in Canada • Establish and maintain electrical utility industry relationships to increase loyalty and retention • Drive operational efficiency and cross-functional alignment to maximize profitability • Provide accurate forecasting and market intelligence • Contribute to comprehensive sales strategies • Participate in SIOP and budgeting processes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors of commerce or engineering • 5–8 years sales experience in manufacturing • Cable industry experience is an asset • Substantial understanding of the sales and marketing process and its relationship to company objectives • Travel required for this role • Effective presentation, facilitation and negotiating skills • Independent problem-solving abilities • Time management and organization skills • Strong oral and written communication skills and general business understanding • Ability to gain credibility with all levels of employees and lead cross-functional teams • Adaptability to change and constructive idea assessment • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Relationship-building capabilities to open doors, develop opportunities and close deals • Demonstrated problem-solving skills • Results-oriented, self-starter and highly motivated
